Children & Young People Counselling Service

This is a Comprehensive Counselling Service for Children and Young People (Ages 11-18)

Our service provides specialist counselling and therapeutic support tailored to the unique needs of children and young people aged 11 to 18 years old. We understand the challenges that arise during adolescence and early teenage years, and our compassionate team is here to offer expert support for a variety of mental health concerns.

Our Areas of Focus
Anxiety
Whether it's social anxiety, school-related stress, or generalized anxiety, we create a safe space for young people to explore and manage their feelings of worry and fear.

Depression and Low Moods
We recognize that depression and persistent low moods can greatly affect a young person's ability to enjoy life. Our therapists work alongside children and teens to build resilience and foster emotional well-being.

Lack of Motivation
For young people struggling with motivation, whether at school or in daily life, we help uncover underlying factors and work towards reigniting their sense of purpose and direction.
Sadness and Low Self-Esteem
Feelings of sadness and low self-esteem can be overwhelming. We focus on promoting positive self-image and helping young individuals build confidence and emotional strength.

Self-harm and Suicidal Thoughts
Our service provides a confidential, supportive environment for those dealing with self-harm or thoughts of suicide. We work to understand these emotions and guide young people toward safety and healing.

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
We offer support for young people experiencing symptoms of BPD, helping them manage intense emotions and develop healthier coping strategies.

Dissociation
For those experiencing dissociation, we offer grounding techniques and therapeutic support to help them stay connected to themselves and their surroundings.

Childhood Trauma
We provide specialist support for young people dealing with the effects of childhood trauma, offering a pathway to understanding, healing, and emotional growth.

Sexual Assault and Abuse
Our service is dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse. We offer a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to help young individuals heal and regain a sense of safety.

Domestic Violence
We offer confidential support to young people affected by domestic violence, helping them navigate their experiences and providing resources for safety and recovery.

Anger Management
Our team helps young people develop healthy ways to express and manage their anger, promoting emotional regulation and constructive communication.

Gender Dysphoria
For young people experiencing gender dysphoria, we provide supportive, inclusive counselling focused on mental well-being, self-acceptance, and resilience as they explore their gender identity.

Confidential, Compassionate, and Respectful Support

At our service, we prioritise the privacy, dignity, and well-being of every child and young person who seeks our help. We work collaboratively with each individual to develop coping strategies, address mental health challenges, and foster resilience.
